What is a Radiologist?
A radiologist is a medical doctor who is specially trained to
interpret imaging exams or procedures to diagnose or treat your
condition. Although radiologists are rarely seen by the patient,
they play an important role in the overall health care equation.
They supply your doctor with the information needed to provide
the appropriate treatment or care based on the results of your
imaging exam.
Not all radiologists are the same. At The Center for Advanced
Imaging, each radiologist is recognized as a specialist in one
particular area of the body. Our radiologists are experts and
valued consultants to your doctor. Because of their experience
and skill, they can assure that your exam is performed quickly
and appropriately.
Subspecialty Expertise
Since 2003, The Center for Advanced Imaging has delivered high-quality,
cost-effective interpretations via our subspecialty focus. Study
after study shows that when physicians become "experts" in
a procedure or a certain type of care, the results of that care
improve. Each of our radiologists is an expert--or subspecialist--in
one area of the anatomy. The subspecialty approach translates
directly into value. That's because a more experienced radiologist
is better at detecting and diagnosing illnesses so your doctor
can select the most effective treatment for you.
CAI's radiologists are also specialized experts in imaging.
Their superb clinical skills help them select the appropriate
modality and imaging protocols for each patient. Then they work
with our technologists to ensure images of the highest quality.
CAI's advanced teleradiology network allows us to transmit high-quality
images by computers to the most appropriate subspecialized radiologist
for a particular case, regardless of location. This means your
exam will be interpreted by an expert in the field, producing
an accurate and decisive diagnosis.
The radiology subspecialties at CAI include:
- Musculoskeletal Radiology
- Neuroradiology
- Body Radiology
- Spine Radiology
